where do u get 2N404 ge pnp transistors? Can you get them from small bear?

I got mine from a guy on eBay...can't remember his user name.

The 2N404 was one of the most common and popular Germanium transistors during the 60s and 70s...so they're still fairly readily available.  I've heard that Steve Daniels (Small Bear) has used 2N404A transistors for matched Fuzz Face sets.

The last set of Ge transistors I got from Steve (maybe 2 months ago?) were 2n404s...

When you got them from steve, did you order the fuzz face set? And were they gain selected?
