One thing to keep in mind is that each 12AV6 draws the same heater current as the dual 12AX7. Make sure you have a power budget of 150mA per heater @ 12 V.

How do they sound? :D

Take care,

Thanks to an old broken radio and the priceless help from the forum(thanks Pedro!), i recently made a "clean boost" with the 12av6/12at6 (could be any according to the service plate in the back of the radio, and the numbers in the tube are long gone). The thing is LOUD. I'm calling it a clean preamp more than a boost, i tried it at the fx loop of my amp(guitar -> tube preamp->return of fx loop) and it drives it effortlessly.

I'm out to add another gainstage for some overdrive using the 12ba6 that's left from the blessed radio.
