Title: Drill sizes for pcb
Post by: ikiru- on May 18, 2004, 02:38:57 PM
As a follow up to my post about wire size, What size of drill bit is usually used for 22awg stranded wire?  I have been using .8mm for everything, without luck on stranded wire.

Thanks

The correct size for PCB holes is wire size plus 5 to 10 thousandths - that's  lead plus 0.127 to 0.254mm, so bump up the actual wire size in mm by 0.1mm.
