Title: AMZ mosfet boost, mod.
Post by: cedric on May 18, 2004, 05:12:52 PM
put a 500k pot just before the output, and you'll be able to get al the grit you need without boosting the volume (this'll be your new volume knob).
and the 'boost' knob will be the GRIT knob. voila - overdrive-box!

ced, have you actually built this mod, or just imagined it?
AND, anybody have some good sound clips of the AMZ mosfet overdriven (and/or clean)?

One small mod suggested at AMZ is to add a spst switch to engage/disengage the 100uF cap, to go between buffer/booster mode.

Simple and very useful.
