Hello,
Me and my grandad have decided to make my crybaby true bypass.
I have bought a x-wing switch which is similar to the very dodgy diagram i have drawn!
I have 3 wires, Green, Blue and Purple and i am usure which wire to solder to which terminal.

Here's the link to the schematic that we are using:-

Any help is appreciated
Thanks

Hi,
Try this site: www.green-fuz.freeserve.co.uk
Look under the effects heading.
I am not very good with electronics etc, and the x wing is set out different to the dpdt switch, i just wondered which wire goes to which terminal.
here's the link to the set out of the x-wing

What kind of Wah do you have?
I need to know what wire is coming from where.
My wah is a crybaby gcb-95, and i think from looking at the diagram (you have to copy and paste the link) the purple is from the output, green is to input and the blue goes to the circuit board somewhere, that's all i know =S
AFAIK the X-Wing just looks different. The six terminals on the switch are exactly the same as the dpdt switch on the gif you linked.
See this:

There is the X DPDT you're talking about. After all, it's not different at all
Back to your wah. The blue wire is the effect output. You still have to trace where the effect input is.
According to this schemhttp://bryant02.home.att.net/schematics/crybaby.gif it is the 0.01uf. Initially, you will see it connected to the input jack. By converting it to true bypass, you'll have to disconnect it from the input jack.
Since you only have a DPDT, you'll be sacrificing the LED indicator as the result of true bypass. If you can't live without it, you can try the millenium bypasshttp://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/Millenium/millen.htm or this http://www.analogalchemy.com/pedals/ledtrick.gif
You'll realize later that it is very simple as long as you've traced the wires correctly.
Hope that helps
