Hello everyone!
I'm new to this forum, but the DIY site has been amazing to me!!
I was looking over Aron's FAQ supplier's lists, and a few seem out of date (especially for switches and enclosures).
I've looked EVERYWHERE for good DPDT or 3PDT switches. (I'll probably have to start buying them from Aron!). Any other recommendations??
I'm also having a hard time beating the prices on small "MXR-size" enclosures from Smallbear. Any other recommendations??
Obviously these two items affect my output costs dramatically!
Any help from fellow DIY's would be AWESOME!!
Thanks!
Small Bear has everything you need.

Yeah. That's where I've been buying stuff. I was just wondering if there was a way to get them even cheaper (always looking to save a buck!)
Thanks for the reply!!!
His prices a pretty good on most things. I use him for my pots and jacks. I started using Aron for my 3PDT switches. :D All of my jigs are setup for Hammond boxes so I use Mouser for my boxes. They just recently started carrying my resistors so I'm going to start bying those from them too. I buy some of my parts here in town at Randolph & Parks Electronics Caps & resistors mainly. It's just shopping around.
Good boxes and switches aren't cheap. You can get cheaper dollar products - but the quality will suffer. Steve has some really good prices on those products you mentioned. If you want them cheaper then you'll more than likely need to get a tax ID # and a business license.
In comparison to buying a pedal the prices are very reasonable. You can buy a reissue Tube Screamer (TS-808) for approx $150 or you can build one for $40. Not a bad ratio.

What's wrong with this? :?

I see nothing wrong at all with buying 3PDT's from you. I know automatically that I have a good switch when I buy from you. I know that you check each one before they are shipped, and I can confidently put that switch in without checking it myself. This saves me a few seconds that i can use searching for my screw driver or 14mm box wrench. Plus, I get to support (not only what I consider to be a friend) one of our own. 8)
Thanks Marcus.
As for testing.... beep, beep.... beep.... ....be.e.ep..... :D

If it wasn't true, I wouldn't say it.
You sound like Rosie, the Jetsons robot maid. :?
I can see where your coming from. Keep prices as low as possible! But.. you also need to take into account- service- a biggie! and quality. I get all my stuff from Smallbear, mouser, switches from Aron. Steve has great service and esp prices- has Never done me wrong.. Mousers really good too- been a little squeerly one time though. Arons prices on 3pdt- Awsome-you simply cant go anywhere else for those ..period..and I always seem to get them really quick! U can go wrong sometimes w mouser or other biggie corp businesses online with large cataloges and diff choices if you dont know what your looking for--and thats where steve really helps out..He caters to US. Busy guy. I really dont think id be able to keep up the way he does. Imagine all the orders..Also.. keep an eye out for some of the guys around here!! Some really great prices there too.. check the buy/sell/trade section. Awsome cap prices with RDV!
anyway, thats all i got after making a few mistakes going and checking everywhere.
