does anybody know how to increase the rate on the CE-2? Any help would be good. I think keeley does a mod for this too.

I asked the same thing.
Do a search for "Boss CE2 Speed".

C19 is a .1uf cap petween pins 1 and 2 of IC2. When it is less than .1uf the speed range goes higher/faster, and when it is larger than .1uf, the speed range slows down.
If you'd like to have two ranges, I would recommend sticking a second .1uf cap in series with C19, and wiring up a little SPST toggle to shunt the added cap. If you simply want to make the range a little faster and leave it at that, I would recommend replacing the .1uf cap with a .068 to .082uf cap. The most sensible way to identify what it is you want is to desolder the cap in question, set the speed pot for fastest speed, and listen to the pedal (plugged in of course) while you touch the leads of possible candidate caps to the pads on the solder side of the board. You may *think* you want it to go twice as fast, but may actually only want something that goes a couple of hz faster. Let your ears decide.
