Title: Piher 100k trimmer pots for ROG Amp Sim Pedals
Post by: Fret Wire on May 29, 2004, 12:45:37 AM
Here's the data sheet on the 10mm round Piher trimmers. They're the kind you see in the Phase 90 reissues and others. I think they'd make nice trimmers for the ROG perf projects. They have a nice, small footprint. The data sheet has a pic, they would be the two outside trimmers on the bottom row.

This is the Mouser part number:

This is the entire page of Piher 10mm 100k trimmers.

I would like someone to double check the data sheet for me. It should be correct for a 10mm horizontal mount (laydown), slotted screwdriver vertical adjust, 100k lin., with a 20% tolorance. I'm not sure of the lug spacing in regards to the standard perfboard everyone uses. Hope this helps or is interesting. Thanks.

I know it doesn't help our friends in other countries, but I've just been buying the Radio Shack trimpots. They've got a nice small footprint, and aren't that expensive, and have held up well.

I used them without any problems in my thunderchief.
Used the screwdriver adjustable ones.

I like the ones that 'face up'...I've used ones that face 'over' and built limited access around it to the point I had to use needle nosers 'repeatedly' to get from one side of the range to the other...
I like the phillips head drive ones, little orange circles with the + facing are easy to 'hit with the screwdriver and adjust...I don't have to think about which way to put them in other than enough space to make connections.
