Title: Possible Big Muff Pi mods
Post by: gein on May 29, 2004, 02:41:45 PM
I have a EH BIg Muff Pi reissue (the big green one)  I was curios if any one knew a mod that would give me a little more of a rumbling sound, more of a deep growl.  I am reletivly new to this so I dont even know if this is possible.

Thanks in advance for any help

You should check Bigmuff- mods at the general guitar gadgets. Go to www.generalguitargadgets.com and check if those mods suggested there could be done to your version of the pedal. I've done them to my Bigmuff clone and they did work great!

Ye I have looked at the GGG ones but they dont give me as big of a sound as what I think I can get.

What I am thinking may not even be possible,  I am new to the whole diy thing so I am still learning.  What would make the biggest difference in the structure of the distortion Different diodes? Tranisters?

And what types of values poses whgat characterstics Typically?
