Title: Absence of a trim pot
Post by: Deep Blue on June 01, 2004, 06:29:22 PM
I'm building a 69 boutique fuzz face from the information on Jd Sleep's site, and there is a 10k trim pot on the circuit board.  I have every other part to finish the pedal tonight, but I have to wait like a week or more to get a trimpot.  Is there something I can use in it's absence that will at least let the pedal operate semi-normally?  Resistor of some value, perhaps?

Sure - you can just tack-solder in appropriate value resistors to get it working (10k, 9k1, 8k2 -> 4k7 -> 1k), maybe try a 10k for starters (then you can solder another 10k in parallel to get 5k easily without having to remove the other one)?
