Title: DC Power Plug for Boss FX
Post by: davtar on June 08, 2004, 11:51:07 AM
I searched for the answer to this as I thought it may be here already, but could not find it.

What is the size of the DC power plug used for Boss PSA and ACA adaptors?  I'm pretty sure it's 2.1 x 5.5mm or 2.5 x 5.5mm, but not sure which one.  I'd greatly appreciate the information!  Thanks.

You're welcome. 2.1mm is pretty much standard these days, but there are some odd ones out there. Same thing with polarity. Always check the box or manual for the tip hook-up.

If you're interested, here's some info on the Boss ACA to PSA conversion and differences.

I don't know whetehr it is to protect us from ourselves, or just to make us buy their hideously overpriced adaptors.. but Boss digital fx have got a non-2.1mm  socket for their 9v AC stuff. Are all their AC stuff  taking the same plug? and what size, anyone know?
