Title: How many volts can you run a JRC4558 at?
Post by: Dave Z on June 08, 2004, 12:06:03 PM
I'm building a Son of Screamer - got the voltage divider part done last night & the IC sockets in (I am using a 8-pin socket to wire the clipping loop so I can sub in diodes)

Anyway, I'm using 100mF 35V caps for the power filter (yes, they fit in a BB, barely) and figure I can run this thing at 18V easy, what about higher? Would that improve the signal to noise ratio?

Also, screwed up & bought a log pot for level, what's the result - ramps up volume faster or slower than a linear? I would think it would ramp slower...

=> google.com
=> "JRC4558 datasheet"
=> maximum voltage supply
