Title: Testing pin voltage help
Post by: PB Wilson on June 13, 2004, 12:41:29 AM
I'm gearing up to make some of the Runoffgroove FET emulator pedals (I think I'll start with the Matchbox and then maybe the Supreaux.), but I had a question about how to check the pin voltage of each FET.

Where exactly do I put the leads of my DMM to check and adjust the trim pots? I'm still a bit green when using it. Thanks.

USually',
Connect the black DMM lead to ground, touch the red lead to the Jfet Drain/trimpot connection.
Adjust the trimpot, look at your voltage reading, leave the pot set for whatever voltage you like the sound or around 1/2v of supply.
