Hi, it's my first post and all.
I play bass with active pickups and want to build a few pedals. I just had good luck hacking a crybaby and now have huge dreams of customs boxes.
2 things I'll want on any pedal would be a lowpass filter, I'm assuming from what I've read and years of tweaking guitar preamps that a simple pot-cap setup on the output will work so that seams easy, but what I really want is a wet/dry blend.
Looking around on the net (man is there a lot of good free stuff out there!) the closest thing I could find would be the splitter-blend at runoffgroove

This is more work than most of the effects I'm looking at!!! Is there anything simpler I haven't found yet?
My big plans right now are to start with a fuzz, maybe the sili-face II or the bazz fuss design with the diodes. Then a creamy overdrive and then a Nuetron/Mutron. If anyone has any bass specific thoughts on these pedals or similar I'd love to hear them.

Its exactly what you are looking for. Moreover you can easily integrate an another circuit like a fuzz, which is what I am doing at the moment (I also want to use it with bass). Instead of the Mutron you also might want to try the Meatball (do a search for McMeat). It is really great for bass.

Blending "wet" and "dry" signals works good on bass. It lets us bass players retain the low end of our sound. I think moosapotamus has a great circuit because it lets you individualy control the volume of both signals.
the splitter blend is more of a panning circuit. Fuzz projects are good starts. also try preamps so you can try replacing the active circuits on your bass
Thanks for all the tips, the paraloop looks like a great place to get what I want. It also looks like I'm not alone wanting a blend and lowpass.
