Title: Custom True Bypass A/B switcher...HELP!!!!
Post by: ugly_guitar_guy on June 22, 2004, 11:50:23 AM
Hello all! I am new to this forum but I have run into a problem with a project and I hope that you can lend some help or insight.

Ok, so I got all the components for the remote true bypass A/B box at tubefreak.com (under the schematics section, click on custom a/b switcher) and I wired it all up, plugged everything in, stepped on my latching footswitch... and nothing happened.  :x  I did use a different relay because the DS2Y-S was not easy to come by (I used model G5V-2-H1 DC9). I'm trying to use this with a BOSS PSA-120 adapter (9v 200ma), and there should be plenty of current to switch the relay, but there's nothing happening. Could anyone lend any thoughts as to what might be wrong. (Oh I also eliminated the bridge rectifier and went straight to DC connections, was this the right thing to do with the BOSS PSA-120?) . Thanx. Cheers!

checked that you have the correct type of transistor and that it is in the right way? bc557 should be pin 1 to 9V, pin 2 to the resistors and pin 3 to the relay coil.

diode around the right way?

Do you have a multimeter? start checking voltages while switching.
