Not exactly a stompbox, but this here guitar was DIY. I just had to share.
This was built for a show I was a part of last weekend, where we played 50 songs, a set each of the Cars, Blondie, Elvis Costello and you guessed it, Cheap Trick. We had some 35 guest singers throughout the night. It was pretty incredible.
How ridiculous is this guitar though? :) It was really really heavy and I only got through two Cheap Trick songs before switching to another guitar. Great prop though!
Here are more pictures from the show: http://www.luckydogmusic.com/gsms6/photos/photoindex.htm

WOW
Write Rick Nielsen to get his specialised back-training routine ;)
Remember that ad in which the alleged design team boss ("Dear Mr Nielsen...") thanked him for his endorsement but pleaded for him not to do something like this again after half his staff went home crying?
Dude, that is really cool. It's a great pic; looks like you're kinda in pain.
Rock and Roll!
As a double neck owner I can imagine how heavy that is and how difficult it can be but then oddly enough I have to ask the same question I get asked alot when I pull my double neck out, why ? I have a hard enough time managing two necks. I would guess the center of gravity is way out between the necks too.
Andrew
I look like I'm in pain, but bear in mind, this was set three of a five-hour show and I had been playing for hours by this point (not to mention setting up and soundchecking for about ten hours!)
Roger
Cool guitar!! Now you need to finish the other necks (I saw that you have a bridge, pickup and strings in only one neck) and learn how to play with two necks at the same time, like how Michael Angelo do with his tow neck/four neck guitar. It will be hard, but will give a cool thing to show in your band's show.
Great PICS depict what looks like alot of excitement! ! !

Ha! This would actually get me SHOT at one of my band's shows! (and it would probably be my bandmates that would shoot me!)
These shows (the Green Street Music Series) are one-off special events, so it's okay to be really cheesy here and there. The next one we're doing is AC/DC, Aerosmith and Alice Cooper. No, I will not be wearing a schoolboy uniform for this one. It'll be hard enough to make my Jazzmaster sound like an SG!
Roger
Cool. You don't need the school uniform and a SG, just need some cannons to shot (For Those About To Rock ..BOOOM.. We Salute You)
That is truly horrible. That's the most terifyingly stupid thing I've ever seen... and the guitar he's holding is almost as bad.

Well we can't have pyrotechnics in the club, but we're going to try to get Artie Lang to guest on the "FIRE!" part. Ha ha.... (Stern reference...)
