Title: Question about Great Cheddar layout
Post by: Dylan on July 08, 2004, 07:58:07 AM
Are the holes for the 3P4T switch arranged properly so a PCB mounting switch can be used? This would save a lot of internal wiring.
Thanks.

Yup.  Check the parts list, a specific Mouser switch is used.

I got my PCB from General Guitar Gadgets and it fit just fine. I remember having to tweak the tabs a tiny bit to get it together. If you are etching your own PCB you might want to pay close attention to the size of your holes and making sure they are drilled in the center of the pads. Enjoy this very excellent pedal!

Which trimpot did you use for P1? Is this one suitable; http://www.smallbearelec.com/Ordering/trim.jpg?

A trim like that should work fine. Mine is from a different company, but looks about the same. Some trim pots have different configurations of pins on the back (usually some variation of a triangle) but I'd suggest asking Steve at Smallbear. He's usually up on many pedal projects and could tell you if his would fit the GGG layout.
