Title: Power suply
Post by: theaxeman on July 09, 2004, 06:37:45 AM
Hi there!

Soon i am going to try and build a pedal board with a built in power suply for the pedals, is  it safe to make a box with lots of power jacks wired in series and plug in a normal boss power suply? It needs to power 10 normal 9V pedals.

I think it must be in "paralel" conection...

And I believe Boss power suply usually is around 200mA wich "may" not be enough to power 10 pedals... it depends of the pedals...

you definately need a paralall daisy chain. for example a gv-8 from this particular company:

Another option is a power supply which has multiple outputs, this one:

but they are incredibly expensive for what they do.

The cheap method is to buy a daisy chain like the earlier mentioned gv-8 (one that doesn't need a stupid boss power pedal) and a cheap PS if you dont already have one, such as a danelectro zero hum.
