Yeah, nice one.

Well, there is this tom who has been running the neighborhood for 11 years before me and Shitty Kitty moved into town.  Anyhow, to make a long story short my poor little cat keeps getting mauled by that big tom.  Often the tom chases my little cat into her cat door.  The tom sits outside the door (because he is too big to fit his fat mellon in the door) and he swats at the door and waits for me to come out and chase his ass away.  Last week shitty kitty took a bite on the flank by that big nasty tom.  It got infecteed and $360 bucks latter she has a shiny new bonnet on and an ass full of stitches.  Draining the tubes twice a day has been a chore, but she is getting better.  Wednesday the tubes come out.

I live here up north, it is so cold in winter sometimes that we must cut the cat´s tail off, so you can shut the door more quickly...

Some poor people had to take other animals in house at very cold winter weather in the old days. If you happened to be an unlucky little boy, a pig could eat your balls while you were sleeping at night. Cheers, if we are lucky, and anyway...

I love cats too. But I don't have a cat to take a pic and show for you. I live in a flat, and my mother don't like cats too much...

Amazingly, the cat would even sleep there while I used that amp.  I would worry that his tail might hang down and get singed by a hot 6550...

More, more nice cats pics please. I, too, love cats.

I can remember when I was a kid, one morning, this bully kid from the house behind ours splashed a bucket of water into my cat. My cat went home wet. That set me on fire.    Since there was no way to hit that kid 'coz he was bigger than me, I thought of something else.

Armed with a wire cutter, I sneaked to their yard and I cut the main wires of there eletricity connection to the other neighbor that supplies them. Ha ha,      the poor bully kid wasn't able to watch his favorite cartoon and they were out of power the whole day     . They only found about it the next morning when they saw the cut wires.

They never found out who cut the wires.

No need to cut your kitty's tail off, they come ready prepared (genetic mutation).  I remember seeing these as a kid when on holiday on the Isle of Man.

I love cats but can't own one as I live in a third floor flat/shoe box.  :(

Cat's without handles...
 Manx?
My buddy had batches of Manx Barn kittens and cats, didn't like being picked up much though, cool but 'agitatey', would come up and let you hold them, but would get all pissy and try to 'scratch exit'. Funny cats.

I have a ridiculous number of photos with my cats as the subjects.

Here's the same one as shown above on the amp:

A different cat, with different amps:

Oh yeah, nice pics there, Brian. :D

Cats are really sleep lovers. They spent more time sleeping than being awake.

I really love the two-cats-in-the-window-in-the-early-morning pic. Kinda like:

Cat1: "What a beautiful morning, meeoow".
Cat2: "Wait 'till spring is here, meeoow".

Lol Maybe that's why his cat loves hanging around his amps so that he will be reminded of feeding them

Anyway, they seem to be enjoying the view in the window... I love the pic.

What part of the country is that Mr. Tremblay? I sure would love to see snow outside my window in January and have that much room between houses where I live! I live in a desert where it never rains, but it actually did snow this last winter and it stayed on the ground for about 4-6 hours...

I thought I saw 20 little kitty leags, so are there 5?  What an excellent bunch of little fur balls.  Dad sounds very proud.  Jees we're a bunch of old sooks, huh.

There were 6 little kitties. I took 2, the project engineer took 1 to his sister, and 3 had to go to the pound. Over 50 people work at my unit, and none were kind enough to give a little furball a home. I hate them all somewhat(the feeling is probably mutual cause I work inside about 75% of the time, and they work outside 100%). We had to have the mother picked up also cause she was suffering from flea infestation. We work at a 20 acre compound in the middle of nowhere, and there's just no way to control the fleas. I got the best 2 of the litter IMO, and they will never go out, thus no fleas.

I even thought there were only 5.

Just curious (er... ignorant) what do they do to animals in the pound?
Title: No Message
Post by: RDV on July 15, 2004, 07:10:39 AM
At the pound they will get flea treatments and be put up for adoption. The kittens will probably be adopted, the mother may not be. The project engineer talks about going to get her himself, but I kind of doubt it. The fact is after a certain period of time without being adopted they have to destroy animals to make room for all the ones that keep coming in. A sad fact of life.

Is the way to deliberately kill animals in the pound through a lethal injection? The thing where you tranquilize and put the animal to sleep first before injecting the one that stops the heart beating. Well then, that is a humane way of and giving room for other animals in the pound and controlling animal population.

I'm not 100% sure how they do it, but what I do know for sure is that they HATE doing it. The worst part of an otherwise rewarding job.

Gas chamber,it a cheap and efficient way large number of animals are put to death at the same time.Have you seen the documentary "Dog Catcher"?
