Title: Fulldrive2/Bassdrive schematic difference?
Post by: mikkejohansson on July 15, 2004, 08:01:39 AM
Hi, I'm new here (and swedish) so be gentle...

Does anyone know the differences between the Fulltone Fulldrive2 and its cousin the Bassdrive pedal?

Is it as simple as changing a few capacitors or is it a completely new construction? Reason I'm asking is the Fulldrive can be found relatively cheap 'round here but the bassdrive is molto expensivo...

Anyone here with the schematics or who has opened them up?

I don't know exactly what the differences are but I'd put money on the fact that it is just a couple component values apart.

i have heard that fulltone will mod a fulldrive or bassdrive to have a switch that changes it into the other.

i SUSPECT that on of the changes is the cap in the cap-resistor-ground connection off the inverting input of the opamp.  have a look at AMZ fatboost mod of the ts9 to see what i'm babbling about.

i am very interested in knowing the exact difference as well.

Play around RC filter combinations.  Move them down into the range for bass and you're set.
