Title: Kind of OT - Getting Rid of Noise In A Marshall Amp??
Post by: Joe Hart on July 21, 2004, 04:28:55 PM
Okay, it's a cheap mini stack that a lot of people seem to dislike, but either I have a good one, or I have a tin ear (quite possible!). It's a Marshall Lead 15 G15MS, and it's a very cool purple color! Anyway, it's pretty noisy with hiss and stuff.

How much would it help to pull it all apart and replace the resistors with metal ones, the caps with film, and possibly the op-amps or transistors (I don't know what it has insisde... yet) with lower noise ones?

And does anyone have a schematic for this amp?

Thnaks.
