Title: '71 Marshall Artist reverb pedal...?
Post by: Phorhas on August 07, 2004, 03:26:15 PM
A guy asked me to build a reverb activating switch for his amp. a 1971 Marshall Artist model 2040 2*12 combo. The schemo I have is a bit fussy, and it doesn't mention the remote switch. the jack for the switch is has 5-pins. does anybody here know how to wire the remote switch, or even better have the schemo for it?

Regards,
Dan Orr.

I had an Artist 30 head. IIRC it was a short to ground affair for the switching of the DIST/clean and  Reverb on/off selections.
 ie connection made=effect on
 connection open=effect off

This one has only a reverb on/off option (i.e. only one channel)... do you think the new marshall remote switches will work?

Can you link or post the schemo,?
I or someone could likely find the 'magic' combination...
