Do you want one to play with or to build? I'm telling you now, that a handbuilt talk box is very expensive and very diccifuclt to do/find parts for/ service. This is one of the few Diy projects that shouldn't be attempted when you just want one. buying a new one is much cheaper.

If you just want one to use, thats a good cheap option. If you want to build one, as I said it's a lot of work, but the GGG talkbox under filters has lots of differrent options.

P.S. be warned lots of talkboxes need a mic or seperate amp for the mic.

P.P.S. I know a lot of people on the forum will appove of what I have to say: don't opt for a design that switches live amps /speakers, as it's not safe.

Heil: external amp (schem on the GGG link)
The Banshee has it's own internal amp, but needs a microphone. The Dano actually has it's own mic in the tube, sends the signal back into the pedal ind into the signal chain, which is nice, although I prefer talkboxes to go through FOH-PA if possible.
For $100-150, you won't build this.
BUT, it's really easy should you want to, to build an amp into a Heil-type talkbox: just use somethingh like the Ruby. You won't need more than 2=5W. I'd go for 2W (I like my teeth). Distortion is good: this produces more harmonics for you to play with in your mouth. Even a condenser mic with preamp shouldn't be any problem at all - the real pain is constructing the box/speaker/tube combo.
