Title: my microamp isn't clean
Post by: plucky on September 04, 2004, 12:42:12 AM
hi guys, i built a microamp, but it doesn't sound clean, i used the tonepad layout... at first i used C2 = 0.01uf, next, i saw in GGG that the value was 0.1uf, i made the changes, but my microamp isn't clean, what should i do?...
I've tried many IC's, but always it's the same...

you might just be overdriving it with something. i havent built the microamp, but i doubt its squeaky clean, so it might just be how its meant to sound. if you want sqeaky clean boost, try the mosfet booster at jack ormans site. thats AMZ, theres a link up the top there. that gets alot of good reviews around here  :D

good luck
Jim

read the OA pins voltages from ground with a DMM
 Verifi all grounds with same
Double check the polarized caps orientation
