Title: Modded Park G10.
Post by: Steben on September 04, 2004, 07:58:48 AM
Hi there,

Out of the bleu: I just made some changes within my little Park G10. (Can we call this ss amp "vintage" junk by now? )

I replaced the first JRC4558DD (pretty bad sounding) IC with a KA4558.

I ripped the diodes and changed them with red LED's in series with a 68k resistor. Parallel to this resistor I placed back the 1N4148's in. Now there is soft clipping at 1.5V signal and hard beyond 2.1V. Sounds pretty great in comparison to the stock amp!
