Title: Build Report- OBSIDEAN
Post by: audioguy on September 04, 2004, 10:29:52 PM
Not much to report- Gringos layouts freaking rock, Joe D. is a mad genious with distortion design,  and this pedal sounds like doom in a box... I love it!

Which version is that? It's not the one that uses 2N7000s, is it? I built Rev 3 (which used 2N7000s), but it had a bit of a problem with hiss, which is too bad because I thought it sounded killer!

The Obsidian have high gain, and if you put the gain at max you will get some noise. Use a amount of gain near max, but without the noise.

The version with the 2N5089s is Joe's latest version of that circuit.
