Title: NE556N 14 pin DIL Any Ideas ?

Got two of these in with a cheap parts lot, anyone know if its a standard 14 pin DIL  op-amp ? and can be used in a nice little project ??
could'nt find a post in the search engine re: NE556N

Its actually two NE555 timers in a single 14-pin chip.

Thanks Torchy, I've seen it used in a "metal detector" ! any use for a chorus or delay circuit ??
