Title: How do sansamps work?
Post by: T-Man on September 19, 2004, 05:49:48 PM
How do sansamps distort?  They are a pile of opamps, caps and resistors so how do they clip? THey can't use opamp clipping can they?

Thanks
Tristan

Yes, most are just that.  IIRC the Double-Drive used a diode.

That's the magic of extensive pre/post EQ and filtering.  The best investment in your tone you can make is a pair of EQ pedals.
