It's either in the wiring ( I am using a 3pdt ) or I put the transistors in backwards. I used the 2n3565 transistors but they were round and i didn't know which way to put them in. I didn't use sockets either (lesson learned) so I dont want to change them around unless I can tell for sure they are backwards. The datasheet I found on the net doesn't show the round version of the fairchild 2n3565 one so that didn't help. Any advice on how to tell which is which? Also, I wired the switch as follows:
row 1 : lug 1 and 2 connected, lug 3 to row3 lug2
row 2 : lug 1 ground, 2 volume pot, 3 output
row 3 : lug 1 open, 2 input, 3 blue wire to board
