Title: Boss CS-3 Compressor Mod For More Treble ?
Post by: Incubus on January 03, 2005, 02:56:39 PM
I've been searching and I've found info on adding a little more treble, and transparency, to a few compressors (Ross, MXR and Boss CS-2), by basically changing a capacitor value here or there.

The comp I have is the CS-3 and I'm after any info on performing a similar mod to this pedal.

If I can't get the information, I can always trace the circuit and go from there, but I'd just like to know if anyone has already done anything similar to this particular pedal.

I hadn't seen that actually.

I downloaded the pdf, and looks like I'll be trying that one out.

The CS3 just sounded a little "dead" when it was kicked on. I still may have used it in it's stock form, but now I don't have to beat my head against the wall wondering if there is a way to improve it.

I remember when there was no internet......it sucked.
