Title: TL082 question - Marshall Guv'nor?
Post by: Bucksears on November 13, 2005, 04:33:44 PM
Is the TL082 IC a replacement for the JRC4558 or TL072? I don't have the pinout in front of me.
I read somewhere that it's supposed to be a MOSFET or JFET IC and would have excellent overdrive qualities.
I'm thinking of using one in a Marshall Guv'nor I'm building.
Anyone have any personal preference for an IC in that circuit?

Thanks,
- Buck

the 082 is a wide bandwidth JFET op amp with the same pinout as the 4558 and the 072.

A JRC4558 works fine for this circuit too, I swap out several opamps and it's worth checking afew out.

It took me a couple burnt opamps before I figured out to use sockets. :icon_redface:
