I'm prepping to build the easyvibe, and I've noticed on the PCB layout that some of the spots for the caps have one square and one round pad. I assume this is to specifiy polarity, but which one is - and which is plus +?
square= +
On the layouts from Tonepad, the square pad represents POSITIVE. :icon_mrgreen:
Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's a round or square pad after I etch a board so I always follow the schematic for proper orientation.
The square pad is usually used to mark either the positive side of a cap.
Do you have a link to the PCB you're using?
Look for other (electrolytic) caps that are connected directly to ground and see what shape pad is used there.
Welcome to the forum and best of luck on your build! 8)
Thanks guys, I'm not too good at reading schematics yet. The layout is the Easyvibe layout from Geofex.
