I'm in the process of adding a piezo-pickup in the neck pocket of my Strat-copy. From searching the forum, I settled for this preamp:

Can someone verify this, as I don't have the resistors needed to build it jet.

Doesn't the J201 have GSD pinout instead of SGD?

At the moment it seemed soooo logical to just swap the letters. Guess I'll be redoing th whole thing later.
Input should go to gate, ground to source and Drain to 9+, right? Just so thatI'm sure....
So, finally my resistors arrived, and decided to redo the layout and get it to work. I ended up with this:

I've built this myself, and it worked very good. I used it for an internal preamp for my piezo equipped guitar, and while the amplification of the signal isn't that loud, it makes the volume of the piezo just as loud as my magnetic pickups. The sound is very nice, and it doesn't overdrive at all.
I've placed the piezo element, witch was ripped out of a futurlec piezo-buzzer, under the neck on my strat-copy. I connect the wires to the preamp, and the preamp to a Push/Pull-pot where the second tone-controll used to be. The push/pull works as a switch between Mags/piezo, as a volumecontroll for the preamp, and as a power-switch. I have a problem with popping when turning on the power, but I've figured that if I leave the Volume turned down when switching, I don't have that problem.
All in all, I can say this is a very good sounding system, up there with the 200$ ready-made ones. The only modification you have to do on your guitar is to drill a tiny hole from the neck-pocket to the pickup cavity. For the 4$ it has cost me, I must say I'm really satisfied. ;D
