Title: Help with capacitor substitution in Stratoblaster vero layout
Post by: boedonaldson on May 21, 2006, 03:58:18 AM
In the stratoblaster vero layout C2 requires a 1.5uf 16v electrolyctic cap, i find one of these anywhere but i have a 1uf elctro cap i can use. In using this, would this make much of difference to the sound/circuit, or would it completley put things out. Any suggestions or answers to this problem greatly appreciated, Cheers

This is a very nice little booster. I used aluminum electrolytic capacitors instead of tantalum capacitors, which are listed in the schematic. I tried a 1.5uF tantalum in C2 positon, but I like a 1uF aluminum electrolytic in C2 better. I've never seen a 1.5uF aluminum electrolytic, so I don't know if they are available or what it would sound like.
