Title: How can I add a tone control to my OD-1
Post by: rosssurf on May 26, 2006, 02:31:33 AM
I am interested in adding a tone control to my OD-1 build seen herehttp://aronnelson.com/gallery/Martys-layouts-and-photos/OD_1update (http://aronnelson.com/gallery/Martys-layouts-and-photos/OD_1update).
How can I do that? I am just looking to tinker with having tweakability. Is there any way to sweep the mid frequencies around?

You should check out the Tone Stack calculator  http://www.duncanamps.com/tsc/

If your not sure how to install a tone stack, then look at Cook your own distortion http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/richardo/distortion/index.html

What do you want/need the tone control to do for you?  Do you need it to completely reshape the tonal balance?  Do you want it to tame the highs so you don't need to change them on the amp?  What in particular?
