I'll chime in!   :)

I've just eyeballed it and it looks good to me.

What does adding C7 and C8 do?

Andy,
It looks like C7 and C9 are power supply filtering caps.  They get rid of some unwanted noise coming in from your power supply.

Hey nice to hear from you guys.. ;D

I posted this yesterday (my time) and I was wondering....

Yep, power filtering caps.

Thanks for giving it a read through... it's easy to miss something when you've been staring at the same page for a few hours.

The layout looks 'tight', I see no easy way to make it smaller, all the parts seem nicely spaced.

thanks for the info, Toney and Scott, thought they were but wasn't sure.

Would like to have a go at it sometime. Add it to the list....  :)

Cheers Andy

Nice job...what do you use to make these?  Paint?
And how long does it take to make a layout this size?
I tried once, it took ages and then I gave up.

Yep, just good old paint and these tools from the gallery...http://aronnelson.com/gallery/Richard-Boop-RLBJR65/Verotools (http://aronnelson.com/gallery/Richard-Boop-RLBJR65/Verotools)

Time taken varies, sometimes i just belt them out in one go...several hours...others I chip away at.

I've got a big one for the Fender Blender in the works that I've been fiddling with for months.

Can any one comment on the placement of R9 in my layout?

Reading the schem, component order would perhaps be better in parallel with C5, before R8 and C9 to ground???

I found it  neater in the layout where it is, but to be honest, I'd like someone to confirm the placement is not detrimental.

for the tracer, the spst is to switch between audio wave, and not an audio wave right??
and for fet matcher, no clue how it should be used..

Toney, great (and ultra-clean) layout as always !!!

I built version 1, however I didn't like it that much, it had a fuzzy edge I didn't like. DIdn't sound like the TS pedals I'm used to. Maybe there were wrong values.

I'll give your layout a try after the Dr, Boogey I'm buiilding. Looks like a fast build.

Thanks Xavier.

Did you try MartyMarts tweaks for the V1?
Definite "winner" with my set up also Torchy had a further variant the Tube Reamer Ultimate- switching diodes, different op amp and a few other tricks. I'm sure Wampcat has the layout.

I built it as per Torchy's schematic with all the bells and whistles ;D

I guess I'm one of those SD1 instead of TS guys, finally I'm using the Wylde OD which is an SD1 variation.

Heh heh...

I still love my beaten up old SD1 more than any TS, AND I just got myself a Wylde OD too....

We must have similar taste.

Toney thanks for another great layout!

Have you tried Bancikas layout software yet? Much quicker and easier than cut and paste.
