Title: LFO ticking logic test
Post by: GibsonGM on June 09, 2006, 06:36:40 PM
I recently made an Easy Vibe following the original Hollis schematic & 2 TL064 quad OA's...I'm assuming that the 'updated' versions using 4 dual OA's were set up that way because of the annoying LFO tick bleed thru...it seems like it is ticking because 1 of the filter sections is in the same OA as the LFO (should've thought about that first!)  Anyway, I love the pedal; the chorus is a little shallow on mine, but I'm into the vibe thing anyway!  Really psychedelic  :)

SO, I'm just looking for a validation of my logic on stopping the LFO tick...I plan to remove my power supply stuff from the board I've got in there, and re-do it on a separate perf.  I will also build the 3 OA LFO section on here, and decouple it as best I can.  Tie the V+, Vref & ground back to the main board (decoupled), and strap the new board in the space freed by moving the PS stuff.   Does this seem like a reasonable solution to someone who knows the circuit?   Since I'll only be using 1 OA on the chip already in there, any ideas on how to leave the 3 others (floating vs. something else)?
