Title: "New" idea for hooking up pulsing status LED for Neovibe
Post by: DeeBug on July 18, 2006, 10:11:02 AM
OK, I realize this idea may not be new, and I know the subject of connecting a pulsing LED for the Neovibe has been covered several times.  I was just thinking, though, that it would be nice to have, not just an LED which pulses, but an LED that also turns off when the pedal is in bypass mode.

I was wondering if the following idea would work.

Attach one end of a 47K resistor anywhere between the collector of Q12 and the bulb, attach the other end of the resistor to the positive leg of the LED, and attach the negative leg of the LED to the appropriate "LED-lug" of a 3PDT switch.

This way, with the pedal on, the LED would pulse in time with the lamp; with the pedal off, the LED would switch off.

Would this work?

I handled the flashing light on my ELectric Mistress build that way.  Just ground it like the bypass LED and you should be in business.
