Title: DS-1 Distortion project
Post by: saemskin on September 17, 2006, 11:21:37 PM
The parts lists calls for a 0.47mF Radial Capacitor.
I cant find any on Small Bear, nor does Radio Shack have them.  Where can I get these?

Mouser, Digikey, etc. Depending on your layout you could probably make an axial cap fit. Happy solder sniffing.

Maybe it's calling for a tant for the .47uF, you could probably get away with regular .47uf cap but, RS doesn't have it.
It's just not basic enough for them to carry it I guess.......scary huh?

Radial is the most common type. The sources you list probably carry mainly radial and if they carry axial, it's listed as such. So if you order the "standard" electrolytic capacitor, it's probably radial. Just ask them via email.
