Title: Modding AC booster
Post by: polifemo on December 23, 2006, 02:44:04 PM
I´m about to modd my old AB booster to the new specs by adding two more diodes*:

The diodes to use are:

Now to my question:

Which diodes are to be preferred?
- 1N914
- 1N4148

*the mod is supposed to give less compression - which I want - and more gain - which I don´t necessarily need - to the pedal. Any ideas of how reduce compression without adding gain?

A 1N914 and 1N4148 are the same thing. Use whichever is easier to obtain.
