Title: ca3080 / 4558 bungle
Post by: numpty on December 28, 2006, 01:34:46 PM
I wrongly placed a 4558 chip into a circuit meant for a ca3080 ( rebote 2.5 ) when it didn't work i realized i had picked up the wrong chip by mistake. I have looked at datasheets on both chips for pinout info, I don't think the 4558 will be damaged. Am I correct in thinking this?

If power is reversed, either chip is toast.
:(

breadboard a simple test for either chip to confirm operation.

Heh- sure you aren't building a Rosscomp instead of a Rebote?

a 4558 should work just fine in a rebote... if oriented correctly
