I'm looking for a 250_ 0_ 250 at about 100ma and a heater winding 6.3 volts about 2 amps possibly centre tapped with a 240volt primary. Anyone know a U.K supplier of transformers like this, i think Hammond do one but its near on 50 quid so was hoping to find one or two a bit cheaper.

I know I shouldn't jump in when I'm not exactly sure - but what about this?
It's in Germany, and 230V, but only 22 Euros:

Haven't checked the spec for any of these, but you might have some joy here:

Try a UK google search for 'valve transformers' and quite a few links pop up...
vikki,
try over at www.ampmaker.com.
Barry, who runs it, is a regular over at the 18watt forum, and is a great guy to deal with.
Just having a quick look, i found this trannie, but he has a couple of others too.

3A from the heater windings and up to 275V from the secondarys at 160mA.
Not sure if it is centre tapped, but give him a shout about it.

This transformer is for the 36watt, 4xEL84 builds, has a centre tap, 275v/200mA secondary,
Rectifier winding and 6A heater current.
Hope that is of some help.

not british, but closer to my home: BTB (http://www.btb-elektronik.de/en/index.html)
and another one: Welter (http://www.welter-electronic.de/bauteile/trafos/trafo.htm) I bought stuff from.
+1 for Barry at ampmaker.com :D
