Title: weird problem?
Post by: Fuzzy-Train on January 24, 2007, 09:00:53 PM
I've just finished building my 3 in one box FX yesterday, octavia, a silicon boutique FF, and a germ boutique FF.... but I'm having a weird problem... I didn't notice t'ill now.

I wired them in this order: octavia>germanium>silicon, all with 3pdt's and LED's. No battery jack, and that "all plastic 2.1mm DC jack" from SB. I was able to get my transistors dialed in at 4.5v for both the Si, and Ge FF's.

Here's the problem: The volume knob of the Si FF acts as a master volume over all my gear, even when the unit is off... at "0" I get no signal at all.. no volume or noises, and it gets really muddy/muffled when set all the way up. I went over all my wires, and everything is the way it's supposed to be.

I think I might have some kind of input/output problem but I'm not sure. All the FX work great, I love the sound of the germ FF, but it's just the volume knob of the Si FF that's the problem.

Any ideas?

Nevermind... I found the problem. One of my wires from the Si FF switch was touching another lug..... boy, don't I look the fool. :icon_redface:

Thanks anyways.... live and learn.
