Title: tactile switches... momentary? latching?
Post by: KWilcox on February 05, 2007, 05:27:46 PM
Hi... sorry if I should have been able to find the answer to this on my own... but if I use the E-Switch 1XJN002UEE from Smallbear,

http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=33

does this switch actually operate in a push-on, push-off fashion like a stompswitch? or is it momentary contacts & needs some sort of logic-switching?

thanks!

Kyle

Took me a bit to find - (e-switch's website is not giving me datasheets for some reason - I found the same switch/manufacturer part number in the Digikey catalog) but yes, it is latching.

Yes. If you already have worked out exactly How you want to build it into you design, fine. If not, my design for a Shell might be useful:

One caveat, though: The Switch Actuator SKU 0212 is out of stock and won't be in till my next boat gets here from Taiwan in early March.
