Title: GGG Boutique Bender/Tone Bender/Soul Bender: buffer problems like a FF?
Post by: Bucksears on March 09, 2007, 08:31:06 AM
Are the (germanium-based) Tone Benders (and clones) susceptible to the same tonal problems as a Fuzz Face (and clones) when a pedal with a buffer is placed before it in the signal chain?
I didn't notice anything, but I might need to keep my GGG Boutique Bender in front of my DT-10 tuner (see other thread) along with my GGG Boutique Fuzz.
Any thoughts?

Thanks,
- Buck

Normally yes, but the input impedance of the three-knobber is a tad higher than a fuzz face, so it might result in less difference.
