Title: Noise w/ new Boss TR-2 trem pedal- normal?
Post by: chris scott on April 02, 2007, 11:13:51 AM
Hi everyone-

Is it normal that this pedal is so noisy? Backround hiss (only when activated- dead quiet when it's off) is, in my opinion, excessive. Also- sounds fairly compressed when activated as well.

Comments- help?

TIA,
Chris

No, not normal at all, stock TR-2 has a slight volume drop when engaged - partly the way we
hear things when the trem makes vol go up/down but there should be no noticable noise
when engaged.
If you think that it's unacceptable then take it back asap

A tr2 will hiss when on, even stock. After most of the mods they hiss even more. We designed our mod to boost the volume without increasing the hiss.

Have fun!
