Hey,
Alright so I traded for a Visual Sound H2O (newest version) and its in perfect condition, etc... Now every once in a while when I have the delay on I start getting a lot of muddy fast echoing together (sort of like if my cable went bad and the delay kept echoing it). So for the past few day I was just like ok, my cable must just be cutting out sometimes. But now I figured out that sometimes the Short/Long delay switch, even if its set to long, will act like its on short and will only work for short delays unless I switch to short then to long then to short then to long again. And it does that cable cut-ish echo pretty randomly so its not like my fix is perminant.
So RG, or anyone, ever heard of something like this happening? If so, any idea how to fix it?
Thanks,
Billy
Your description indicates that the long/short switch may be going bad, OK.
The best thing you can do is contact service@visualsound.net. If it's a bad switch, that's a no-brainer; you get an exact-replacement switch. None of the common parts places have that switch that I know of. If it's not simple to fix, you'll probably get a new replacement board inside. The H20 would be fairly complicated to repair for an amateur.
The repairs are not that expensive even if it's not under warranty. And check that out - it might still be under warranty. I think we have a one year, although I'm not fully up on the sales terms.
Na, im experienced and have built and modded a bunch of amps so I think I can handle replacing a switch :icon_lol:
I will try emailing them and see about getting a new switch.
Thanks man!
That's fine. I was just thinking that it would be convenient that it was there if I'd guessed wrong and it wasn't the switch.
