Title: Capacitor Question
Post by: msurdin on November 26, 2007, 04:57:32 PM
Hey,

I was just wondering a weird question.

I received a few wrong parts and I needed a 30pf capacitor. I do have a 31pf capacitor lying around... Would that work?

ALSO

Does anyone know what brand and type Tantalums these are? http://www.monteallums.com/pedal_mod_parts.html

Thanks

Matt

31pF will be fine.

The brand and type of tantalums at that mod site are immaterial. Any tantalum of the same value/voltage will do fine. There is no superfine discrimination between tantalums to be made.

I personally don't like tantalums, but to each his own.

I'm building a variation of a rat with someone. It is either tantalums or the Electrolytic caps, what do you this is better for a rat? I'm looking for that classic sound but I want to keep the noise down...

thanks

Wow, only $4.99 for a 4558, TL072 or NE5532.
