yes, its verified.

the "debugging" thread should help give you some clues as to whats wrong.

sorry for the hasty post ....
it was me
driled the wrong strip  ::)

by the way why does the layout have a 100k volume pot and your other one has a 500k ??

I didn't have a 100k
I tried a 500k and am currently using a 250k
should I seek out a 100K ??

thanks dragonfly

500k allows a bit more bass, but is really unneccessary..the 100 is plenty loud and keeps the sound "well balanced". either one is just fine....

thank you for that info
I guess I can leave the 250k in there as sort of a happy medium

by the way couldn't find the specified transistors at the local Radio Shack
I picked up some 2N3906 which I will see how they sound tonight

right now I have some BC109 transistors in the circuit  but they measure around 300 hfe
I think that is quite high for this purpose
any thoughts ??

2N3906 is a PNP tranny...wont work...2N3904's sound nice though...try any NPN transistor and see how you like the sound ! :)
