Title: what to use lm308 in?
Post by: Austin73 on April 03, 2008, 06:44:17 AM
Hi everyone,

Just a simple and stupid question (no change there!) Got hold of a few 308's and just wondered if anybody had any ideas of what to put them in.

Had a quick look at a data sheet (which was rubbish) is it just a dual op amp and if so how does it compare to the ubiquitous 4558 and TL72?

Any info and build recommendations gratefully received.

Cheers

LM 308 works alot like a regular opamp such as LM741, but has the compensation pins which help by providing  internally controlable HF content, nice for getting rid of RF or for use a LP filter.
It could be used as a booster or gain stage, throw some clipping diodes in and it starts to become a Rat or feedback loop clipper [like TS].

Guys,
I also bought one but later drop the RAT project. What project can we do beside RAT? Isn't it this is not a dual op amp only single op amp like 741.
